Rachel's Rainbow

Posted by Picasa

This week in preschool we are studying about rainbows.  It has been fun to see Rachel interested in our world and how things like raindrops and rainbows are made.  We've been reading a few science books together and she has asked for them to be read over and over!  On Monday we did "art."  I got out some paints for Rachel and asked her to paint a rainbow.  The above picture is what she came up with.  I've simply named it "Rainbow."  I think it is pretty and there are some fall colors in her rainbow, so I've matted it and set it on our buffet in the dining room for all of us to enjoy this autumn!

I really like that! And great idea on matting it and displaying it. The art around here is shown on The Refrigerator Gallery but maybe something like that would be considered pretty neat!

Thanks, bronwyn! I LOVE to display my children's art and it gives them a sense of pride too. I had some mattes just laying around that I wasn't using, so I am glad Rachel's picture looked so nice in something I just threw together!
