Isn't she cute? After numerous suggestions from Sarah's piano teacher, I finally took her in to get her eyes checked. She has been skipping notes and lines of notes during lessons, which she does the same thing when she reads. The Dr. did a thorough eye exam, and we found out that Sarah's eyes are a-ok. But, because she is growing so much and will be for the next few years, the Dr. explained to us that her eyes, too, are going through a growth spurt. That means that when she reads, it is very typical for her eyes to get confused and skip words or a whole line. He explained that her eyes are in a battle, going in and out of focus at random, and glasses could help her eyes focus easier. One thing positive, at least for now, is that she reads a little more often because she wants to wear her glasses!

Absolutely adorable frames!
She looks beautiful! Has she told you she can see things better now?
I got my first pair of glasses when I was 9. On the way home, I looked out of the car window and said, "Mom, I can see the birds!" Just curious if she had that sort of epiphany.
Thanks for your comment Angela. No, she said that she can't see much differently. Her vision was actually excellent, but since her eyes are growing, they have a problem focusing, but only sometimes!
